03 June, 2026
On May 26 and 28 concerts by pianist and founder of the “Secrets of Armenia” project Mikael Hayrapetyan and pianist Yulia Hayrapetyan were held in Tokyo and Osaka under the auspices of the Embassy of Armenia in Japan.
The event, held at the “Musicasa” concert hall in Tokyo, was launched with a speech by Ambassador Monika Simonyan, who emphasized the importance of the opportunity to present the rich Armenian musical heritage to the Japanese audience, which not only contributes to increasing the recognition of Armenia in Japan, but also brings the Armenian and Japanese peoples closer together through cultural understanding.
The concerts featured works by Komitas, Khachaturian, Babajanyan, Baghdasaryan, Yekmalian, Tigranian, Spendiaryan, Barkhudaryan and other composers of Armenian descent.
