On May 31, 2016 the inauguration meeting of new organization - JAPAN-ARMENIA BUSINESS AND CULTURE INITIATIVE was held at the Embassy of the Republic Armenia in Japan. Prominent Japanese businessmen, corporative leaders and lawyers participated in the meeting. On the following day, the organization with its Board of Trustees and Code of Regulations was officially submitted to the Japanese public registry as a General Incorporated Association.

The Initiative aims at promoting closer economic and cultural ties between Armenia and Japan. In particular, it will be promoting business cooperation and trade between the two countries, helping to present Armenian products and cultural assets in Japan, and facilitating for Japanese producers and investors to enter the Armenian market.

This newly established organization with its executive board and secretariat will be able to play the role of a Japanese economic cooperation committee with Armenia.
