Armenian delegation participated in the Science and Technology in Society forum

Armenian delegation headed by the Chairman of the State Science Committee
Dr. Samvel Harutyunyan participated in the 10th annual forum of the Science and Technology in Society (STS forum) from October 6 to 8, in Kyoto, Japan.

The forum is aimed at creating a global network to discuss the two major themes of innovation and sustainability in the field of science and technology.

About 1,100 global leaders in science and technology, policy, business and media from approximately 100 countries, regions and international organizations participated in the forum this year. Armenia took part in the event for the first time.

A joint statement was issued at the conclusion of the meeting. It was agreed
to hold the 11th Annual Meeting of the STS forum in Kyoto from October 5 to October 7, 2014.
