The Japanese Ambassador hands his credential to the Armenian President

The newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Armenia Tikahito Harada (seat in Moscow), handed his credentials to President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

The President noted that Armenia attaches importance to the comprehensive development and deepening of Armenian-Japanese ties, and hailed the intensification of political contacts and the regular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries in the recent period.

Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that during the tenure of Tikahito Harada the potential of cooperation in different spheres would be fully used, contributing to the further reinforcement of friendship between the two countries and peoples.

Japan's Ambassador assured that he would make his utmost efforts to contribute to the deepening of bilateral ties. He said next year will mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Japan, which is a good opportunity to hold a number of cultural events, work out and implement cooperation programs in the economic sphere.
