In his welcoming speech in light of the 20th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia, the Armenian Embassy’s Advisor Hrant Poghosyan underlined that Armenian people have been persistent in defending their achievements, as well as building a modern, dynamically developing economy and a socially secure and democratic society since independence. He mentioned that during these difficult years, Armenia has always received the support of the international community, particularly the Japanese people and that has helped Armenia’s reinforcement.

In his congratulatory message, Japanese Foreign Minister Kazuyuk Hamada warmly congratulated the Armenian government, the people of Armenia and all Armenians around the world on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of independence and mentioned that the Japanese people and government will never forget the sincere care and support that the Armenian people and government showed during the recent natural disasters in Japan.
