Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Mr. Hisashi Tokunaga, Parliamentary Vice-minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

On May 4, 2011 Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Mr. Hisashi Tokunaga, Parliamentary Vice-minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

Mr. Edward Nalbandian expressed his most sincere condolences to Mr. Tokunaga on thousands of victims of the Great North-East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011.

In his turn, Vice Minister Tokunaga reciprocated by expressing his deep gratitude for condolences received from Armenian leadership and the humanitarian relief money granted by the Armenian Government to eliminate the consequences of that horrific natural disaster.

He stressed that people of Armenia shares the sorrow of Japanese people and the events dedicated to the victims of the Earthquake and Tsunami held in Armenia proves how friendly Armenians are to Japan. He added that Japanese highly value this fact.

Minister Nalbandian noted with satisfaction that Armenian-Japanese ties witness records of dynamic development, adding that cooperation with Japan is the high priority for Armenian foreign policy.

Mr. Tokunaga conveyed address of Mr. Takeaki Matsumoto, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan to Mr. Nalbandian and told that Japanese leadership attaches great importance to the Japanese friendly relations with Armenia and has strong will to make all efforts to its strengthening.
