On August 20, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Japan Monika Simonyan presented her credentials to His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. 

Emperor Naruhito congratulated Ambassador Simonyan on the assumption of her duties, wishing her success in initiatives aimed at strengthening the friendly relations between Armenia and Japan.

Ambassador Simonyan conveyed to the Emperor of Japan the greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

The ceremony, which took place at the Imperial Palace, was also attended by Mihara Junko, the Minister of State for Policies related to Children, Measures for Declining Birthrate, Youth Empowerment, and Gender Equality, with whom the Ambassador had a brief conversation.
