Khachaturian Trio’s Japan tour was held on September 7-11, in the framework of the Genocide Centennial Commemoration Events. The concert tour of the renowned Trio (Armine Grigoryan, piano; Karen Shahgaldyan, violin; Karen Kocharyan, cello) was organized by the Armenian Embassy to Japan in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Armenia.

On September 8, the Trio performed at the Lutheran Ichigaya Hall, Tokyo, and on September 11, at the famous Suntory Hall. The musicians performed the works of Aram Khachaturian, Arno Babajanian and Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

Both concert halls were fully packed which the audience, which included Japanese public, diplomats, accredited in Tokyo and Armenian Community representatives.
