Arax Mansourian’s solo concert in Japan

On October 5, 2014 in Ueda city of Nagano prefecture the celebrated Armenian opera singer Arax Mansourian held a solo concert accompanied by the Japanese pianist Takahiro Akiba. The event was organized by the Armenian Embassy to Japan in collaboration with Mr. Akiba and supported by the Japan-Armenia Society.

The concert was dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the Armenian composer Komitas. After performing some songs of Armenian and western composers, the second half of the concert was fully devoted to the songs of Komitas, such as “Garuna”, “Chinar Es” and “Krunk,” which was received with a great interest by the audience.
