Deputy Minister Sergey Manassarian’s meetings in Tokyo

On January 16, Mr. Sergey Manassarian, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia held a meeting in Tokyo with Mr. Masakazu Ichikawa, Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). They discussed the current Technical Assistance and Yen-loan programs provided to Armenia by the Japanese government and talked on prospects for realizing new programs.

Next meeting of Deputy Minister Mr. S. Manassarian was with Mr. Takeaki Matsumoto, head of the Japan-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group. The parties addressed the issues towards activation of the parliamentarian cooperation, stressing the importance of the final formation of the groups and the exchange of visits of the friendship groups.

During the meeting with Mr. Hirotaka Ishihara, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, it was agreed that the political consultation meetings between the Armenian and Japanese Foreign Ministries have been productive and mutually beneficial. Both Deputy Ministers expressed willingness to continue active cooperation towards developing the bilateral agendas and further strengthening the relations between the two countries.
