Regarding the temporary suspension of the service for the issuance (replacement) of passports

We would like to inform that the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On Identity Documents" was adopted on May 11, 2026, based on which the introduction of a new biometric identity document system in the Republic of Armenia is planned.
To facilitate the transition process associated with the introduction of the new system, the provision of passport issuance (and replacement) services through Embassies of Armenia and Consular offices—including via video link—is temporarily suspended effective October 5, 2026.
Further information regarding the resumption of these services will be published on the official information platforms of the diplomatic service bodies.
