Ambassador Simonyan presented copies of her letters of credence to Mr. Jae-hwan Kwon, Director-General for Protocol Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea

On July 10 H. E. Ms. Monika Simonyan, the newly appointed Ambassador of Armenia to the Republic of Korea (with residence in Tokyo) presented copies of her letters of credence to Mr. Jae-hwan Kwon, Director-General for Protocol Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

Congratulating Ambassador Simonyan on her appointment, Mr. Kwon wished her fruitful work in further strengthening relations between Armenia and the Republic of Korea.

Ambassador Simonyan expressed her commitment to actively promoting the further deepening and expansion of bilateral cooperation. The interlocutors also exchanged views on organizing joint events to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and the Republic of Korea next year.

During her visit, Ambassador Simonyan also met with Mr. Hyung-chul Park, Director-General of the European Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr. Park congratulated Ambassador Simonyan on her appointment and reaffirmed the Republic of Korea's readiness to support forthcoming initiatives aimed at advancing the bilateral agenda.

Ambassador Simonyan noted that Armenia–Republic of Korea relations hold significant potential for further development and underlined, in particular, the importance of strengthening political dialogue and inter-parliamentary cooperation, promoting trade, economic, and business ties, expanding the bilateral legal framework, fostering cooperation in information technology, innovation and artificial intelligence, enhancing educational, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, as well as encouraging mutual tourism
